Hi Tall Friends,

I feel like spring has FINALLY sprung in New Hampshire!  Today was a beautiful day in the mid-70s.  But with the warmer weather of spring also come April showers. Every day this week has some amount or chance of rain in the forecast.  So I thought it fitting to feature wet weather wear.  Enjoy!

Rain, Rain, Go away...Or Don't.

Row 1: Wide Collar Tall Coat.  Hunter Original in Navy. Up to size 12. Navy Spot Cream Frill Umbrella.

When I create more than one look, I love to do a classic version and a bold one.  This yellow coat is bold and fun.  I adore it!  The navy and yellow combo keep it from getting too colorful and the frilly umbrella (you'll HAVE to check out the link to see the photo of it open-so cute!) just adds to the charm!

Row 2: Weatheredge Girl on the Go Tall Trench Coat. Seattle Rain Boot in Matte Red. Up to size 15. Rainy Day Umbrella.

This traditional look is simple but pretty. If you want to blend in a bit more this bone colored rain coat fits the bill.  I added muted red boots and a navy striped umbrella to give it a bit more color but the red, navy, and white color combo keep this look classic.

Tips for Dressing for Weather

-Just because you're dressing for rain or whatever inclement weather is in season, doesn't mean you have to shun all form of style.  Look for shapes and colors you are typically drawn to and embrace those!

-Rain boots are the perfect way to still look polished during bad weather.  Put flats or heels in your bag to change to and you'll avoid showing up to the office with soggy hems.  Who wants that?!

-Rain boots can also accent your style.  Just as you'd wear riding boots over skinny jeans, wear rain boots over skinny jeans with a cute light sweater or button up and embrace the look!

-If you are going on a trip and rain is in the forecast, pack a short pair of rain boots.  You will be the envy of all other tourist as you traipse around comfortable and dry.  I'll never forget the British tourist who stopped and asked me "Excuse me, where did you get your Wellingtons?" (Said in the most refined British accent) on our trip to Italy!  I was so glad I packed them as we ran around soggy Venice.  But beware- they are heavy!  That's why it's best to pack short ones like these!

Mens Rainy Day Essentials

This look is for the suit and tie guys.  I love that the raincoat has a removable liner so as the weather heats up, just unzip it and you're good to go. The waterproof uppers will keep you dry during your commute.

Row 2: Columbia Watertight Rain Jacket.  Cloudburts Rain Hat   Bogs High Boots to size 18.

Obviously, this look is for casual days when you are out working in your yard or on a hike.  The coat and hat are easy to pack for the unexpected rain storm. I love that the boots are high enough for even the muddiest of yards.
