Tall Clothing Mall Newsletter Jan 7, 2013 Hi Tall Friends, Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were fun and festive. I'm finally ready to start the New Year (I gave myself until January 6th to start my resolutions) with a bang. To be honest, I haven't really written "resolutions"-more like just
vowed to commit to the things I always have in the back of my mind as goals. For instance, eating better and getting more physically fit. I know I'm not alone since working out and eating right tends to be a popular resolution. In that vein here are some workout wear options for men and women and I threw in my favorite two apps for physical fitness and diet.

Asics G2 2000. Up to size 16.
Saucony Guide 6. Up to size 15. Nike Initiator. Up to size 14.
If I'm being honest it seems a bit arbitrary to pick exercise shoes to feature-of course it will depend on your chosen activity and your specific physical makeup. My husband is an avid runner and will go to an athletic shoe store (often one specializing in running gear) and try on various types and speak to the salesperson. Then once he knows what to look for he'll try to find the best deal online (or sometimes the best
deal is in the store). Take your time and if you do order online outright (as both he and I have done before) just don't be afraid to return them if they don't seem like the right fit!

My favorite two personal goal apps are Lose It and Runkeeper. Lose it is an app which helps you set your daily calorie budget (based on your weight loss/maintenance goals, height, weight, and age), track your food and exercise, and stay motivated to make smarter
choices to achieve your goal. I have never been good at weight loss. And even though I thought I knew how "bad" bad foods were for me, once I started really paying attention I realized just how ignorant I was! When you know just how many calories are in that snack, it really does make it less appealing on some level. Lose It makes it easy to see what you're eating. There are tons of foods and restaurants included, you can create foods, and there's even a scanning
feature where you scan a bar code and the nutritional info pops up! I love the app and it helped me lose the baby weight in a short period of time (it didn't exactly give me my pre-baby abs back but there's only so much an app can do ;) ! I wrote more about lose it on my personal blog if you're interested.

The other app my husband introduced me to. It's called Runkeeper. Runkeeper lets you track your distance, pace, and speed using your phone's GPS. It also allows you to track goals and gives you training plan options if you're preparing for a race. It's so helpful to know just how fast (or not so fast) you're running and to be able to make up a route on the fly using the GPS. You can also be one of those annoying people who posts your results on social media. "Tiffany has just completed 3 miles in 29.08
minutes." By the way I haven't run three miles in forever so don't let me fool you. There are so many other apps out there but these are just a couple that I have personal experience with. Good luck reaching your goals!
