Hi Tall friends,

Can you believe summer is nearly halfway over?  I just can't wrap my brain around that! Living in the northeast, we really only get 3 months of summer. And the clock is ticking! When I'm out and about, browsing fashion magazines or blogs, or e-shopping, I've come to the point where I resist the urge to buy marked down summer wear.  It's time to fall forward!  So today I'm going to demonstrate how to transition one of your favorite summer pieces into fall.

J. Brand Mid Rise Luxe Twill Skinny Jeans.

Upon first glance these jeans are so summer!  The light color and short length just make sense in the summer months.  Typically you'd pair with a short sleeve tee, or pretty tank and strappy sandals.  While I wouldn't wear this gorgeous mint shade in January with dirty snow all over the ground, with the right pieces, they can definitely transition through September, October, and even November. 

Just add:

1969 Tall Chambray Shirt.  Circle Scarf in Taupe. Steve Madden Barton Boot. Up to sz 12. Currently 35% off!

Throw in a pop of color in the form of a leather bag like this one:

Michael Kors Jet Set Medium Tote.

Not only is it gorgeous but the burnt orange shade ties the outfit into fall.

Or a Blazer like this:

As usual the trick is to layer.  And yes, I just added this to my cart! Expect a review eventually. ;)

Men's Tall Chambray Shirt.

In the summer you might wear this with colored khakis, tan pants or shorts, navy classic shorts, or olive cargo shorts.  In the fall?  

Just Add:

Tall Cotton Cashmere Half Zip Sweater.  Kentfield Pant (Tall).  Floresheim Footwear. Up to sz 14.

I cannot tell you how much I love the look of a pullover sweater over a button down.  Or how confident and attractive this outfit will make you look.  Seriously? Do I need to say more?

This turtleneck is a great staple piece to have in your wardrobe.  It's tough to find long sleeve maxi dresses; this one also comes in pretty cobalt blue.  This tunic would look great with colored denim and a jean jacket or chunky cardigan.  Remember this post on the open weave trend?
