Hi Tall Friends,

How was your week?  Mine was a blur.  We finally had a few nice days which I spent taking my girls outside and strolling the walking trail at the lake.  Right now we're dressing in layers since it isn't until about 12 or 1 that we reach the "high" for the day.  But soon enough it'll be nice and warm first thing in the morning and we can get out and enjoy it...all before naptime!  Here are a couple of looks for men and women for warm spring days that start off cool. And this week I made sure to keep them classic and suitable for nearly every age.  Enjoy!

Classic Spring Look for Him

As you've probably guessed by now, I lean toward "trendy," looks.  I'm also in my 30s and have a bent toward fashion suitable for that age group.  That said, I'd like to think I choose looks and pieces that are stylish but classic enough for the average person to pull off (regardless of age).  That said, there might be times you (especially men) look at an outfit and scoff.  The outfit above is about as classic as I can get guys!  I mean, the pants are pleated. Enough said.  Although this outfit is fairly traditional, it still looks clean and of this decade.  We all get stuck in our ways (I will always like flared jeans for instance) but I think it's really easy for us to get stuck in a certain time period and dress that way for...well forever.  And to that I say: Not on my watch! ;)  This outfit is not risky; it's current and I can't imagine anyone looking less than fantastic wearing it.

Polo Ralph Lauren Big and Tall Pants, Classic Andrew Pleated Pants. Timberland Earthkeepers Hulls Cove. Up to size 15. Slim-Fit Non-Iron Blue Gingham Shirt (Tall). Eddie Bauer Weekend Jacket (Tall).

Classic Springy Look for Her

This outfit is perfect for spring.  The chinos can be worn unrolled if it's chilly in the morning and I've included a jacket as a top layer.  As the day gets warmer, roll the pants and ditch the jacket and you're good to go.  I've always loved yellow (and wear it in all seasons) but there's something about spring that just screams yellow and green.  I threw in the aqua flats to change it up just a bit but overall it's fairly classic-chinos and khakis are a classic staple I think we all love.  I love that the shirt is forgiving as well.  Anyone else have a few LBs to drop before swimsuit season!? ;)

Tall Waverly Chino. Pintucked Lace Tie Neck Blouse. (Tall). Sperry Top Sider Clara. Up to size 12. Fossil Lena Canvas Shopper. Classic Jean Jacket (Tall).

Partner Update

As I was searching for pieces for the look above I came across a new (or new to me anyway) option over at our partner store J. Crew .  Did you notice that they now have tall pants for men that come unhemmed?  These unhemmed pants come in a 37 ½ inseam!  This is great news for those of you who have mentioned that the 36 inch inseam pants we feature often for men just aren't long enough.  I know it's only an extra inch (you can ask your tailor to hem them as little as possible and it'll usually be between ¼ and ½ an inch), but when you're tall every inch helps right?!  Check out the collection here. And right now get 25% off with code SPRINGBEST.
