Hi Tall Friends,
I can't believe another week has flown by! I don't know what it is about summer that the season just seems to speed past! I'm thinking it may be my desire to hang onto it for much longer than the three short months we experience it here in New England. Or maybe it's the temptation to fill the longer days with activities, outings, and get togethers that make it seem so quick! Whatever the reason, I'm hoping to enjoy these hot days as much as possible. I took my little ones to the beach this past week. We are experiencing a major heat wave and I took advantage of it. That got me thinking about a couple of things. Keep reading...

Tips & Trends
What were the trends it got me thinking about you ask? Well first, an easy beach look suitable for all ages. Whether you're young and playing beach volleyball, a bit older and chasing around little ones, or a bit older than that, and just trying to relax and feel comfortable and confident in a classy and modest look. Though the accessories I chose could work for any age, this is where you'd get creative and swap them out for something more comfortable for your personal taste and age.
This is what I came up with:
beach outfit with caftan
Tahiti Medium Tide Bottom.& Tahiti Banded Halter Tankini.- This suit is perfect for various ages and activities. I love that it looks..."sturdy," but still attractive.
Palm Leaf Butterfly Cover Up.- I chose this cover up because it's 41 inches long (most others were 30-35. I've been so into caftans lately. They just seem glamorous and totally wearable all at the same time.
Havaianas Slim Trendy in Ice Violet.- I am in love with Havaianas! They are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned. They come in sizes up to 11/12.
Juicy Couture Wide Brim Sun Hat with Patent Bow- This is on my to-buy list. Let's keep our scalp and skin protected in style. These hats look great on twenty-somethings to sixty-somethings! So stylish. (And if you're a little nervous about the size, you could always get a similar hat with a smaller brim).
D&G Sunglasses Aviator Sunglasses- If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a bit obsessed with aviators! These are just fun! I love how the colors match the suit perfectly.

Summa Summa Time:
The second thing it got me thinking about? Must have summer goods. When I think of summer, I think of shades, flip flops, and hats! Here are my picks in all three categories various price points:

women's sunglasses

Shades:
Very vintage sunglasses- high price but so charming!
Cover Girl Sunglasses Black- to make up for the pricey pair, I made sure to include a super affordable but very cute pair! This shape is so flattering.
D&G Sunglasses Double Bridge Aviator Sunglasses- The obsession with aviator lives on!

Hats:
Apt. 9 Asymmetrical Fedora Hat- I know not everyone is into fedora's but they are just so dang cute that I had to include it.
Bop Basics Floppy Raffia Sunhat- if you're really trying to protect yourself from the sun, try a chic floppy wide brimmed hat. You're tall- you can totally get away with it!
Athleta Tempo Run Baseball Hat- and for those of you looking for a safe option, here you have a baseball hat--but a non-boring version.

Flip Flops:
Munro American - Hera (Red Patent Croc) - Footwear- up to size 14! I've featured these before and I will probably feature them again. Yes they are expensive but they are also gorgeous and come in up to a size 14!! What's not to love?!
Crocs - Crocband Flipswitch (Navy/White) - Footwear- up to size 15! Many of my picks are on the trendier side so I kept this section 'safe,' with adorable and comfortable flip flops in large sizes. I love this color combo and it's perfect for the 4th of July!
Havaianas - Slim Logo Metallic (Sand Grey/Pop Rose) - Footwear- up to size 11/12. - Again, I love Havaianas! Comfortable and cute! What more could you ask for.
