I'm home from Florida and ready to get back to real life! I had a wonderful time in a nice warm and dry climate. Unfortunately our return was via a much delayed flight (with two cranky little ones), to rain and 50 degree temps. What a rude awakening! That morning, I was seriously plotting how I could pull a Tom Hanks in The Terminal and live at our hotel forever. We started the morning with a dip in the heated hotel pool on a 95 degree day and ended it very late with cold, soggy feet. Anyway, I'm home now and after a rainy few days it's finally beautiful and warm and I'm finally settling back into my routine--which brings me to my point: this newsletter for YOU. I've been slacking lately on writing for men (sorry guys!), but figured this week with Father's Day fast approaching it would be a great time to focus on our male readers.

Did you ever have your mom lay your clothes out for you for the week? I suppose it depends on how into fashion you are, if you'd consider that a favor or a total inconvenience. I loved it when my mom did that for me, and later, when I took the time to do it myself. It meant less early morning brain cramps as I decided what to wear and perhaps an extra 15 minutes of sleep. Well this week I've done that for you. In my experience most men like 'simple and easy,' so I've put together four easy summer combos that in total, would work for just about any occasion (and you could even mix and match them). I'd consider a version of every piece featured a "summer must have" for men.

No. 1: Linen/Cotton Shirt + Khakis = date night, work, church, or casual wedding.

No. 2: Polo + Linen Pants = breakfast out, casual date night, or an afternoon BBQ.

No. 3: Comfy Tee + Plaid Shorts = guys night, running errands, pool party (pre swim trunks) or family fun night.

No. 4: Linen Blazer + Dressy Jeans - ignore the sneakers unless you're a hipster and like wearing sneakers with blazers! = date night, drinks after work (swap your slacks for jeans in the bathroom on the way out!), or a night on the town.
