Hi Tall Friends,

Hope you are well and enjoyed your Memorial Day. If any of you serve, have served, or have lost someone in the armed forces, I thank you for your courage and commitment. I grew up as an army brat so I was constantly surrounded by examples of bravery and valor. I don't take for granted the decision to put one's life at risk and make sacrifices for others. So again, thank you.

News & Updates & Review

I'm sure you have plans this summer to take some time off and enjoy your family and the weather. Krista and I will be doing the same! TallClothingMall.com will continue to be updated and remain your go-to source for tall clothing resources. We will attempt to keep TallSnob.com and the Tall Clothing Mall Blog up to date as well but forgive us if from time to time, vacation gets the best of us! I myself am going to Florida this week for a wedding and a mini vacation! I'm excited to get out of town. Of course if the hot weather here in New England hasn't been enough to get me thinking about summer looks, trends, and fashion, the trip to Florida sure is. One thing I've been noticing in ads and magazines editorials is how the summer season doesn't just change our clothes- it even changes our hair and make-up.

Tall guys, forgive us for not featuring much for you this week. Next week's newsletter will be focused on tall men and Father's Day gift ideas!

Tips & Trends

As such, this week's tips and trends are about:
Gorgeous Summer Hair

I definitely don't claim to be a hair expert, but here are a few things I've learned when my love for clothing fashion overlaps with hair fashion.
1. If you have long hair, wear it up. I know this seems like a 'duh' comment but oftentimes we get stuck in a rut and we just don't switch it up even when it makes sense. Wearing your hair up and off your neck just seems cool (both figuratively and literally) and summer-ish.
2. Whether your hair is long or short, wearing it in loose and messy or tousled styles is very "I just came back from the beach" and appropriate for summer. If your hair is particularly short, try piece-y styles instead of a more polished coif. The best way to do this is through pomade or paste type products. It also helps if your hair is a little dirty. I know that seems gross but the best hairstyles can be achieved if you don't wash your hair every single day. If your hair is really fine and gets oily after skipping just one wash, try dry shampoo.
3. Accessorize. Summer is the perfect time to wear headbands to keep short hair, fly-aways, or bangs off of your face. In addition to headbands, it's even more adorable than usual to wear a flower pinned into your hair. You might think if you're over 20 or 30 you can't do this, but you definitely can. It's all about the accessory you choose. Pink and glittery might seem girl-ish but a sleek and slim leather or animal print headband would be perfectly appropriate for an older fashionista.

I consulted my sister-in-law who is a marketing professional and former stylist at a fantastic salon here in New Hampshire for her list of must have hair tools. The following are the few she said are very hot right now!
hair products
"Revolution 1" Clipless Curling Iron.(Good for uneven curls"perfect for the summery look). Chi Flat Iron.(This flat iron has been one of the most popular flat irons for some time and it deserves its reputation). Kevin Murphy High Roller Set.(Perfect for loose, natural looking waves).
