Hope you've had a good couple of weeks! I myself have been busy, busy, busy! But I've taken some time to enjoy the few mild days we've had here in New England. Yesterday was 70 degrees and it was just plain fabulous. Running errands was a cinch when I didn't have to brave the awful cold. And I was able to squeeze in a walk with the bambinos. Next week we are headed to Texas and the weather...well every single time I check the forecast it's changed. I want so desperately for it to be HOT and sunny that I think I'm jinxing it (do I have that much power?!). So far it's hot alright but far from sunny. Rain and thunderstorms every day but one. Boo! But the rain got me thinking about wet weather wear. (I can connect any event to shopping and fashion; it's a sickness). Just because it's raining out doesn't mean we have to look as dull and damp. Read on for tips on not letting the rain dampen your style.
Tips and Trends:
Several years ago my husband and I went to Italy. It was our last hoorah before having children. It was amazing BUT it rained half the time we were there. Kind of a bummer but I was determined not to let it spoil my fun or my style. I love bright, pretty coats and trenches. Add wellingtons, a scarf, and a fun umbrella and you might be actually looking forward to some showers! For my Italy trip I made the best packing decision I ever made and brought with me a pair of bright green ankle wellingtons. So many people stopped me in Venice to ask where I got them that I lost count. My fave though was this pretty, older British woman who said (in the most cliché British accent ever) "Excuuuuse me? Can you tell me where you got your wellingtons?" It was adorable. Well here are my picks for tall women stepping out in the rain:

Okay guys, sorry that the wet looks were just for women. To make it up to you, the partner spotlight is just for you. This week, the spotlight is on Jos. A. Bank Big and Tall. This shirt also comes in purple which would be perfect for Easter. Never a time better than Easter for men to get away with wearing pastels!
